Administration of Medication Policy
At Felicity's Fledglings Nursery we understand that on some occasions children will be taking
               medication.
On these occasions parents are required to fill in a medication form
               logging
                   1. Childs name
                   2. Date
                   3. Expiry date of medicine & Brand.
                   4. Time & date the medication is required and administered.
                   5. Time medication last administered.
Parent/ Carer's signature must be given which allows permission for the medicine, a
signature is also required on collection of their child to show they have been informed of
the times the medicine has been administered.
Children on long term medication such a Ventolin will have long term medicine forms filled
in which will be kept in the medicine file at Nursery (Located in the Main office), this
will contain the same information as previously.
It may be necessary for staff to undergo specific training by health care professionals for
administering long term medication, if this is so then the child's key worker will do this, and
all training updates will be recorded on the child's long-term medicine form.

               Allergy Policy

At Felicity's Fledglings we take allergies very seriously. We take every measure to ensure
that a child in our care does not come into contact with anything that we have been
informed about causing an allergic reaction.
               To do this:
 All staff will be informed of any child with an allergy to any products.
 A chart will be shown in each room with details of any children and their allergies.
