               needs of children are met.
               o We help children to learn about a range of food, cultural approach to snack time and
               eating and respect the differences among them.
               Monitoring and Reviewing
               o To ensure that our policies and procedures remain effective we will monitor and review
               them annually to ensure our strategies meet the overall aims to promote equality, inclusion
               and valuing diversity.
               o We provide a complaints procedure and a complaints summery record for parents to see.
               This policy was adopted by the managers, staff and contributions from parents.

               Intimate Care / Toileting Policy

               All children at Felicity’s Fledglings have the right to be safe and be treated with dignity,
               respect and privacy at all times so as to enable them to access all aspects of Felicity’s
               Fledglings.

               This policy sets out clear principles and guidelines on supporting intimate care with specific
               reference to toileting. It should be considered in line with our safeguarding policy, health
               and safety policies and administering medicines policy.

               This Policy supports the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the EARLY YEARS
               FOUNDATION STAGE, (EYFS, 2012) and the Disability Discrimination Act, 2005. Felicity’s
               Fledglings will ensure that:

                     No child’s physical, mental or sensory impairment will have an adverse effect on
                       their ability to take part in day to day activities.
                     No child with a named medical condition that affects personal development will be
                       discriminated against.
                     No child who is delayed in achieving continence will be refused admission.
                     No Child will be sent home or have to wait for their parent/carer due to
                       incontinence.

               Intimate Care Tasks:
               Cover any task that involves the dressing and undressing, washing including intimate parts,
               helping someone use the toilet, changing nappies or carrying out a procedure that requires
               direct or indirect contact to an intimate personal area.
